Spotlight for Miami, FL

Welcome to Miami... or as most people that live there would say, "Bienvenido a Miami!" Many visitors don't realize that Miami and Miami Beach are actually separate municipalities. Miami is considered South Florida's "commercial hub," while Miami Beach, containing the very trendy South Beach, is a popular vacation destination with chic hotels, delicious restaurants and well-known nightclubs.
When visiting South Beach, there are a number of hotels that are synonymous with absolute luxury. The Delano Hotel, The Loews Miami Beach Hotel, and the Ritz Carlton South Beach all offer incredibly stylish Miami Beach experiences. All three are located in the heart of the Art Deco district, a very popular area containing a type of architecture that embrace the 1930s and 1940s and is characterized by geometric shapes integrated into building design; since the hurricane in 1926, it has become synonymous with the South Beach area. The warm climate in Miami makes dining outside incredibly popular. Many world-reknown chefs have established amazing international restaurants in the heart of the city. OLA, a restaurant in the Sanctuary Hotel, has been made popular by the clever menu set forth by executive chef, Douglas Rodriguez. The Latin-inspired entrees include everything from sparkling ceviche to dazzling croquettes and empanadas. In addition, there are small well-known venues that have incredible historical roots within Miami. A small lunch counter, called Joe's Stone Crab, was established in 1913 and was a popular destination for Al Capone. Today, it's still a sought-after venue that is famous for their stone crab, in addition to fresh fish, potato salads, cole slaw, and their legendary Key Lime Pie. After a great meal, Miami's night life offers some of the country's hottest nightclubs that are open to the wee hours of the morning and attract thousands of people each night. LIV, located at the ultra-chic Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach, offers elaborate design, a huge interior, and the closest thing to a Las Vegas nightclub on the East coast. Situated in a vintage Art Deco theater, Mansion is a night club that has been a popular destination for many celebrities when they're in town. Either way, most night clubs in South Beach have a tight rope, so if you don't have a friend to put you on "the list," be prepared to wait for quite some time. The beautiful year-round climate makes Miami a popular get away for many people all over the United States. When they arrive, they are reminded that the city's diverse attractions make it a great place to let loose and enjoy the chic and modernized Latin culture!
